Tour Guide - Casual
Would you like to join Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne on its journey inspiring people to protect and connect with nature?
We are looking for a small number of new tour guides to deliver Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne commercial tour products to a range of audiences.
Every year we welcome thousands of tour visitors to the sanctuary and share Zealandia’s amazing stories with them. If you love engaging with visitors, have infectious energy, drive and enthusiasm, and are willing to work across a variety of products - including day tours, night tours, early morning tours and kids’ walk, then read on.
If you have an interest in New Zealand conservation, flora and fauna and have experience guiding in a museum, gallery, tourism, or other informal learning setting, then please apply. We are looking for tour guides who are:
- fit and confident working in the outdoors
- confident leading groups
- excellent communicators that can engage visitors of all ages and backgrounds
- knowledgeable of NZ nature and conservation, however training will provided
- fluent to a high standard in Mandarin and English, or German and English
- te reo Māori language skills and knowledge of matauranga Māori would be an advantage
We have a small number of casual roles available. Tour guides will deliver a range of commercial tour experiences across Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne.
