Innovative Wellington ecosanctuary, Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne, is looking for two passionate and capable people to join our Learning team in fixed term roles.
These roles sit within Zealandia’s Learning team and help deliver our in-valley and outreach learning programmes for early childhood education, schools, holiday programmes, community groups and other education providers. Our learning programmes provide pathways for the next generation of conservation-focused New Zealanders.
What kind of people are we looking for?
Our small and close-knit Learning team has built a trusting, creative, fun, and supportive team culture, and are looking for like-minded people to join the whānau.
You’ll enjoy public speaking and engaging with young people (ECE to year 13s) to connect with nature. You’ll ideally have some experience in science communication, and if not, be willing to learn.
You know how to “read the room” and adapt your style and delivery as needed. As a team player, you aren’t afraid to muck in and support your teammates where needed.
Other qualities we’re looking for:
Sound like you? Throw your hat in the ring to join our fun and engaging Learning team.
Both are fixed-term roles at 20 hours a week (4x 5-hour days). We’re looking for people to start late February/early March, ending in December 2025.
Finding the right fit for the team is important to us, so we’re open to discussions if your availability varies slightly from what’s advertised above.
Applications close 10am Monday 10 February 2025.
No reira, nau mai, karawhiua mai!
